Earlier today, Byran Singer, director of next summer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, tweeted the above image of the past and future versions of Professor X’s wheelchair, played by James McAvoy (in the past) and Patrick Stewart (in the present/future), saying:
It’s interesting to see the two chairs next to each other, especially when trying to imagine the actors sitting in them, as the elder actor will be in the newer chair and vice-versa. With the film scheduled for release July 18, 2014, we should be expect to hear more shooting updates soon!
Elsewhere in the Marvel Twittersphere, Max Hernandez teased the return of his character Agent Sitwell:
I like my Amador suit. But I may have to dust off another suit. And glasses. Nuff said!
Sitwell appeared briefly in The Avengers and Thor, as well Marvel One-Shots short films The Consultant and Item 47, the latter of which takes place after the events of The Avengers. He later joked:
Agents of SHIELD eat shrimp po’boys for lunch. Didn’t u know?!
…followed by this picture of his lunch.
On the same note, Clark Gregg has tweeted his excitement following the shooting of his final scene on the pilot of ABC’s S.H.I.E.L.D., namely that he’s “defying protocols” simply to say “SQUEEEEEEE!” Given his character Agent Coulson is apparently due to return to life following the events of The Avengers, it’s interesting to imagine what might be in the pipeline for the MCU’s redshirts.
And he’s not the only one who seems to be defying protocol by taking to Twitter, with Jaimie Alexander hinting at a love triangle between Thor, Jane Foster, and her character, Lady Sif, in Thor: The Dark World.
Today is Valentines Day AND “Thorsday”….coincidence? Lady Sif thinks not 😉
Stay tuned for more updates on all of these upcoming superhero projects!
